Instructor Bio:

Hey, just a quick background on me. My name is William A. Banner (a.k.a Bill). I served eight years in the United States Marine Corps. I spent my whole career serving in various roles as an infantry rifleman and sniper. I have been deployed four times to various locations across the globe. I served two floats in the western Pacific and two tours to Afghanistan. I served my final two years as an instructor at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) near Bridgeport, CA. I primarily instructed at the Mountain Scout Sniper and Mountain Survival courses. It was there that I discovered my passion for teaching.

I have training/certifications in Precision Shooting, Mountain Survival, Mountaineering, Winter Warfare,¬† Arctic Survival, Jungle Warfare, land navigation, and Tracking.¬†Most recently I have been certified through the renowned Jack Mountain Bushcraft School’s 9 week Bushcraft Wilderness Semester program and also appeared on an episode of Discovery Channel’s “Bushcraft Build-off”.
